2.2 Billing and Payment Information

- Pages visited, time on site, and referring URLs (collected via Google Analytics or similar)

2.4 Location and Correction Session Data
Because our service delivers RTK GNSS corrections, we may receive or log approximate rover location data as part of the NTRIP protocol (specifically, GGA sentences transmitted by your rover to our caster for Virtual Reference Station positioning). This data is used solely to deliver the appropriate correction stream and is not used for marketing, profiling, or sale to third parties.
2.5 Communications
If you contact our support team or send us an email, we retain the contents of that communication and your contact information in order to respond to your inquiry and maintain a record of our support interactions.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account and deliver NTRIP correction credentials
- To process subscription payments and manage billing through Stripe
- To provision and authenticate your access to our correction network via the GEODNET API
- To monitor and enforce our Terms and Conditions, including detecting and preventing credential sharing or abuse
- To send transactional emails, including account creation confirmations, subscription receipts, renewal notices, and service alerts
- To send service-related announcements, such as planned maintenance or network coverage changes
- To send marketing or promotional communications, if you have opted in (you may opt out at any time)

- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal process
- To enforce our legal rights and defend against claims
We Do Not Sell Your Data: RTK USA does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share customer information only in the following limited circumstances:
4.1 Service Providers
We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our business. These providers are contractually required to use your data only for the purposes we specify and to maintain appropriate security:
- Stripe, Inc. — Payment processing. Stripe receives billing name, email, and payment card data directly. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
- GEODNET — Our upstream correction network provider. We transmit credential provisioning requests (username, subscription tier) to GEODNET's API to activate your access to correction streams.
- Google Analytics (or similar web analytics provider) — We share anonymized website usage data (pages visited, device type, IP-derived location) for traffic analysis. We do not share personally identifiable account information with analytics providers.
- Email marketing platform (e.g., Mailchimp) — We share your name and email address with our email service provider for transactional and, if opted in, promotional communications.
- Railway — Our cloud hosting provider. Customer data stored in our database resides on Railway's infrastructure. Railway's privacy policy governs their data handling practices.
4.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of RTK USA, our customers, or the public.
4.3 Business Transfers
If RTK USA is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide reasonable notice before your personal information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
4.4 With Your Consent
We may share your information with other parties if you have given us explicit consent to do so.
4.5 No Sale of Personal Information
RTK USA does not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to data brokers or third parties for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond what is described in this policy.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate effectively and analyze usage. Cookies are small text files stored in your browser.
- Essential cookies: Required for the website and account portal to function, including session authentication and security tokens. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
- Analytics cookies: Used by Google Analytics or a similar service to collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and traffic sources. These help us understand how customers use our site.
You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings or by using a browser extension. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use RTK USA services. Note that some browsers or devices may automatically reject third-party cookies.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a period of three (3) years following account closure or subscription cancellation. This retention period allows us to:
- Maintain billing and transaction records for accounting and tax purposes
- Resolve any disputes or support inquiries that arise after cancellation
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
NTRIP connection logs and rover session data are retained for a period of up to three (3) years for abuse detection, network diagnostics, and support purposes.
After the applicable retention period, we delete or anonymize your personal information in a manner that prevents reconstruction of individually identifiable data.
7. Security Practices
We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement the following safeguards:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption: All data transmitted between your browser or NTRIP client and our servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS.
- Password hashing: Account passwords are never stored in plain text. We use a modern cryptographic hashing algorithm (such as bcrypt or Argon2) so that raw passwords cannot be recovered even in the event of a database breach.
- Restricted database access: Our production database is accessible only to authorized application services and personnel. Direct public access is blocked by firewall rules.
- No raw payment data: We never store credit card numbers, CVV codes, or bank account details. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
- Platform-level security: Our application is hosted on Railway, which provides infrastructure-level security including network isolation, access controls, and managed patching.
While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your RTK USA account and to keep your NTRIP credentials confidential.
Security Incident: If we become aware of a data breach that is reasonably likely to result in risk to your rights or freedoms, we will notify affected customers as required by applicable law.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
